How Fast IDP Improves Getting an IDP
For Americans to drive abroad, many countries and rental companies require an International Driving Permit (IDP) in addition to a US driver's license. The US government has authorized only AAA to issue IDPs - no other organization, company, or government agency has this authority.
However, AAA only accepts IDP applications by mail or in person, so getting an IDP either takes 5-7 weeks by mail or requires waiting in line at AAA, which could take hours.
With Fast IDP, one of our team members goes to AAA on behalf of the applicant to obtain an IDP. The applicant simply uploads their completed documents on our website and pays, then we'll take care of the rest.

Step 1: Upload your documents
Upload the documents required by AAA (IDP application form, copy of your driver's license, and passport-style photos). Then, select your processing & shipping speeds and pay. Total rates start at $85 plus tax.
Step 2: We get your IDP from AAA
We review your application to make sure it is complete before a member of our team goes to a AAA branch with your application to get an IDP for you.
Step 3: We ship you your IDP
We email you a picture of your IDP then ship it anywhere in the world. Your IDP can be delivered in as little as 1-2 days within the US and 2-5 business days abroad.
