How we do it
When you submit your IDP application on our website, our US-based team reviews it for completeness, goes to AAA to obtain your IDP on your behalf, and then ships it to you anywhere in the world. The same day we get your IDP, we send you a picture of your IDP booklet and your shipment’s tracking information
We provide you with the same IDP you would get directly from AAA, but deliver it to you in a fraction of the time and more reliably than if you were applying online or by mail from AAA. Why we started
Fast IDP began after our founder, Jamie, made an unexpected trip to Japan and discovered, only after he had arrived, that he needed an International Driving Permit (IDP) to drive. With no way to get a legitimate IDP in less than a few weeks and inundated by misleading websites selling fake permits, he found himself stuck in rural Japan without the ability to drive.
When he returned to the U.S., Jamie set out to fix that problem. He launched Fast IDP to help U.S. drivers get official IDPs quickly and to write clear, accurate information about the IDP process. Today, he’s joined by a small team of people who are exceptional at their jobs and truly a joy to work with.
