How much does a AAA IDP cost?

The cost of an International Driving Permit (IDP) from the American Automobile Association (AAA) varies depending on how you get it. Below we’ll outline the three main ways to get an IDP and how much they cost:

1. In person at AAA – $30-50, same day: This is the lowest cost way to get an IDP if you’re able to make it to a AAA branch in person. The IDP itself costs $20, and the AAA branch will charge you an additional $10-15 for the passport-style photos that are required to go in the IDP booklet.

2. Through Fast IDP – $84-224, 1-5+ days: Fast IDP is a third-party expediter of IDPs, offering the fastest delivery and best customer service for people who need an IDP quickly without going to AAA in person. Our employees will take your IDP application to AAA on your behalf to get you an IDP. Costs include the $20 IDP fee paid to AAA, shipping ($0-79), processing ($69-129), and tax. 3. Beware of scam IDPs
